The Race
The Kyle’s Krusade Virtual race is to benefit Kyle O’Connor, a 6 year old boy fighting cancer, and his family. Read Kyle’s story HERE.
Kyle’s Krusade Virtual 5K, 10K and Half Marathon is a race anyone, anywhere can participate in. You can walk, run, push a stroller, do it with a group or by yourself. The registration for this event is $10 a distance, you can sign up for one, two, or all three distances. 100% of your entry fee will go to The Talbert Family Foundation’s Kyle’s Krusade fund. In turn, to assist with the exorbitant costs associated with having a child with Cancer, they give 100% of their donations directly to the O’Connor family.
There are prizes for the runners which will be given out at random to participants — the more you race, the more chances to win! After all of the times have been entered and the race is over, the prizes will be selected by Random.org. All you need to do is run your race between February 1 and February 16, 2013. When you have completed your run, enter your time in the race spread sheet and that will make you eligible to win any of these prizes donated by our sponsors….
How to Sign Up
Signing up for the race is the easy…
First, click on the “Donate” button below.
When you get to the donation form, make a donation in the amount of your race — each event is $10. You can do one, two, or all three race events.
When your donation is complete, it will direct you to the Race Sign-up form. Fill it out and you’re all done!
Running the Race
The Kyle’s Krusade Virtual Race can be done any time between February 1st and February 16th 2013.
The rules are simple: Complete your chosen distance and record your time on the race results sheet. All participants will be emailed a link to the race results sheet so they can record their times and enter to win a prize.
Feel free to take a picture of yourself and your race bib and post it to the Runwiki Facebook Page, these pictures are great to share and know the O’Connor’s will be thrilled to see you. If you want to do a race review/recap, send me a link to the post in the so I can share the love.
