Their products have helped me improve my endurance by keeping me hydrated with the correct amount of electrolytes, unlike any other product I’ve tried. In honor of the holidays, I thought I’d throw myself a little Virtual Nuun Office Party and whip up a batch of Lemon Lime Punch. Maybe you want to throw your own party, perhaps a holiday get together for your track club or office? Or maybe you just want to fill up the water cooler with something festive… here’s something for you… Nuun Lemon Lime Punch. What you’ll need
1 Quart of Lime Sherbet, slightly softened
24 oz. or 2 cans of Ginger Ale (I used Hansen’s All Natural made with cane sugar)
12 oz. of Dole Pineapple Juice
16 oz. of coconut water
3 Nuun Lemon Lime Tablets
1 jar of maraschino cherries (you could also use fresh strawberries or raspberries)
1 fresh Lime sliced thin
How you make it
First, take about 5-6 Maraschino cherries (with the juice) and freeze them in a mini cake pan or mold; you’ll float these in the punch to keep it cold.
Now, you start making the actual punch by pouring the Pineapple juice and coconut water in a measuring cup or large container.
Next, place your Lemon Lime Nuun tablets in this mixture to dissolve.
Then, while the tablets are dissolving, scoop your Sherbet into a punch bowl and pour in Ginger Ale.
Finally, pour your Pineapple juice, Coconut Water and Lemon Lime Nuun mixture on top of this and give it a quick stir. To top it off, add the ice mold and float some Lime slices and cherries to garnish and you’re done!
Serves about 15-20 people
You will be nice and hydrated for your long run the next day!
