Shortly after we made the move to SoCal I had the opportunity to test and review the products at Nature Box . I don’t accept every offer that is given to me, in fact I decline quite a few. With the few products I have reviewed, I do so because I love them, hence the overwhelmingly positive feedback on my part. So, when Naturebox asked me to review their snacks, before I accepted I went to their site and checked them out. I read their mission…
* Discover a Healthier You
* Food You Can Trust
* Try Us Risk Free!
* Together, We Give
I read the details of each of these bullet points and was pretty much sold.
This is how Nature Box works according to the company:
Each month, your box will include 15 to 20 servings across 4 to 6 different NatureBox snacks. We take pride in picking the healthiest and most delicious snacks for you to enjoy. You can trust that our products will be made from the most wholesome ingredients and will be minimally processed, if at all. Everything you eat from us will abide by our strict quality standards.
The box arrived on my front door and my Mom and I (Who I happen to be staying with) quickly open and dug into our Nature Box The first thing that caught my eye was the Lemon Pucker Pistachios. I am a self proclaimed lemon head and add my beloved citrus fruit to just about everything except my toothpaste. I am not exaggerating when I say my Mom and ate this bag in less than 15 minutes. Nature Box if you are reading this I will hunt you down and stalk you until I can get my hands on more of those.. my goodness they were tasty! Whoever thought up those little gems deserves some sort of medal.
The next morning I opened and tried the Sunny Trails Snack Mix on my unflavored greek yogurt, it was the perfect natural sweetener. It added the just the right amount of crunch and chewy texture to my otherwise boring breakfast.
That afternoon it was Garden Tomato Crunchies which are almond bits topped with tangy tomato goodness. This bag was also gone in 15 minutes this time my Mother did not help as I was hiding in the closet so that I would not have to share with her. Another HUGE winner and yes, I will be stalking the company for these.
The Southwestern BBQ sunflower kernels were my husbands favorite. I liked them but I just don’t go crazy over that smoke flavor. They would be really good on a Southwestern Chicken salad and Nature box provided a recipe for Cobb Salad Lettuce Wrap that sounds delicious.
And last was the Zesta Fiesta Mix. This was really good. I ate it right before a run and it all went pretty well, so I would definitely eat this again.
I really wanted to get creative with these snacks and make different recipes from them, but honestly they were so good on their own I did not have time – they disappeared with a day or two… They were that good.
As far as price, they are no more expensive than buying snacks from Whole Foods. What’s even better is that Nature Box donates one meal for every box sold to feed over 14 million children in America who go hungry. The ingredients are 100% natural, delivered right to your front door and shipping is always free. I can’t think of one reason why I shouldn’t join. I love Nature Box and so did my Mom, husband and kids.
*The generous people of Nature box are giving one RunWiki reader a Nature Box to try for themselves.
* The winner will receive a different NatureBox than the one that I reviewed (it would be a future month’s box)
* They are only able to ship to US addresses
* At this time, Nature Box is unable to customize their Boxes for specific dietary needs or personal preferences.
The contest will run from Tuesday August 14 2012 thru midnight PST Tuesday August 21, 2012. I will announce a winner on Wednesday August 22, 2012.
GOOD LUCK!
Nature Box contacted me for this review, however all of these are my own opinions, I was not paid and Nature Box was not guaranteed a positive review.
