For quite some time now, I have been thinking about doing a recurring post about the simple joy of heading out on a trail run. About once a week I meet with my pal Alison, and we hit the trails. Often times while out on these long runs we have some deep conversation, other times we talk about the mundane, and we always stop to enjoy our natural surroundings and marvel at how incredible the trails are. Something about being in the woods can make us spill our inner most thoughts. No matter what we talk about, we always get back in our cars feeling stronger, more centered, and more ready to take on the challenges of modern life.
We began calling it “Trail Confession”.
These posts are meant to be simple – just a photo and the basic idea of we we talked about with a question for you. Kind of like you’re out on a run with us.
Please join us weekly (or so) for “Trail Confession.”
This week we headed out for a 12 miler in Algonkian Regional Park in preperation for The North Face Endurance Challenge 50K that we will be doing June 2, 2012.
The Bluebells were in full bloom.. it was a sea of blue.. they are a site to behold.
Can you believe how gorgeous this trail run is? It was 12 miles of simple beauty..amazing!
WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT
How marriage and children is no fairy tale, but how lucky we were to have our amazing husbands to go through life with.
