Who else could live outside right now?
I know I reside in SoCal where the weather basically repeats itself 360 with small variations, but, man, it is gorgeous outside.
I was supposed to run my hometown marathon this weekend, but still off due to injury. I’m planning on going out and cheering on my running friends, though. When you train with someone day after day, week after week, and you see how much work they put into one day, it makes watching someone even that much more special. I have seen these ladies put their heart and soul into their training, and even though I am a little jealous and depressed that it’s not me running, I’ll put my selfishness aside (just for a sec- tee hee) and watch my BRF’s tear up the race course this weekend.
Good Luck to Keena, Michelle, Abby, Alan, Paul, Polina, Sabine and Sam and all of my other Future Track friends who are running 26.2 or 13.1 on Sunday.
Since I will be out cheering and perhaps even running a mile or two with my buddies, I need a handheld water bottle that I can easily ditch if I need to. I am huge fan of runner hacks, saving money, and DIY projects, so when I was in WalMart the other day picking up a Brita Water bottle for another post I am doing next week, I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a $1.63 Neoprene Can holder on the shelf. “I could make that into a bottle holder,” I said to myself.
So, I went home, did it, ran with it, and am LOVING it! It fits almost all water bottles and I can throw it out if I need to. You could use this in a half marathon or marathon and throw it out at the end of the race. I’ve seen the can holders in my local grocery store in the seasonal section and at Micheal’s. If you have trouble finding them, they are on Amazon right HERE but they cost more online. AHH- love this!
